summer 10x10 day 1: rust tank top + denim shorts
It's day 1 of the summer 10x10 challenge!
My main goal is to keep it colorful and what better piece to do that with than this rust orangey/yellow tank top. It reads really orange on camera but in person it's a little more subdued. It reminds me of a copper t shirt I thrifted a while back which is why I impulse bought it at Target.
Side note: I've been very impressed by Target's clothing lately. Three of the 10 items for this challenge are from Target!

This outfit is super simple but that's what I like about it. I've always had pretty simple style but have really owned it the last couple of years. The way I see it, simple style doesn't really go out of style, so my clothes can have a really long life span.
I really love how the orange of this tank top goes with the wash of these denim shorts. I've been living in these Levi's since I bought them! They're a nice, rigid denim, high waisted and even have a hidden button fly. And they're the perfect wash. Not too yellow and not too dark for summer.
I ended up wearing Isaac in the sling while we took these photos because, well, babies cry and sometimes they just want to be held. But I have to admit, I like that he's in the photos. It's real life!
