Isaac's birth story
The Saturday before I went into labor, I woke up, slowly got up, and felt something trickle down my leg. After some furious Googling, I called the advice nurse because there was an ever so slight chance I was leaking amniotic fluid. She told me to monitor it for the next couple of hours and if it continued, to call back.
Of course, I was fine all Saturday.
maternity shoot
A few weeks ago Brandon and I met up with our friend and brilliant photographer Chloe for a maternity photo session. I was on the fence about whether or not to do a maternity shoot for most of my pregnancy but in the end, I'm so glad we did one. For one, Chloe is an incredible photographer. She knows her way around her camera and has endless vision. Her photographic eye is just out of this world.
what i wore + what we did: palm springs babymoon
I don't know what possessed me to want to go to Palm Springs, but whatever it was, I'm glad we went. We spent about 24 hours in the desert and managed to leave refreshed and relaxed! Needless to say, I'm newly obsessed and can't wait to go back.
second trimester update
FRIENDS! I’m officially in my third trimester. This pregnancy has just flown right by. I can’t believe we’re less than 100 days from meeting our little guy.
Instead of just listing out thoughts I’ve had during this part of the pregnancy like I did last time, I thought it’d be fun to share a little more this time around. I searched around for other trimester updates and compiled this little list of questions.
what i wore + what we did: socal
We've been back from our weekend in Southern California for a while and I keep thinking about nice it was to get out of town. I work most weekends (when Brandon is off) so we haven't gotten a chance to travel in a while and it was nice to have a change of scenery and weather! Plus we got to witness friends get married, which is always fun.
We were able to sneak in a little bit of sightseeing in between Brandon's wedding party duties. Here are some highlights of what we did and what I wore from my minimal packing list.
winter 10x10: recap + lessons
The winter 10x10 challenge is over! I have to be honest, I was ready to have full access to my closet by day seven. I had to make a few substitutions here and there but overall feel good about completing this season's 10x10. I was feeling uninspired by my wardrobe and this challenge definitely gave me a fresh appreciation for the pieces in my closet.
winter 10x10: outfit 3
I have to be honest, I like the idea of this outfit but not so much the reality of wearing it. The sweater accidentally found its way into the dryer last time we did laundry so it doesn't fit as roomy as it did when I bought it. That being said, I made this outfit work for most of the day.
winter 10x10: outfit 2
This outfit is one of those I-didn't-plan-on-leaving-the-house-today outfits and I'm perfectly ok with that. It's as simple and as comfy as it gets.
winter 10x10: outfit 1
For the first day of the winter 10x10, I decided to keep it warm in both material and color. I fell in love with this rust orange sweater the minute I saw it and it's since become a staple of my winter maternity style.
