Spring 10x10 Day 5
If you want to see the 10 pieces I’m wearing for this challenge, you can find 'em right here.
Happy Saturday guys! I don't usually post on the weekends but I wasn't able to publish this post yesterday because life got real crazy. Like, taking Uber to work because you left your keys in your husband's car crazy, which now that I type it out doesn't sound as stressful as it was when I was living through it yesterday.
Anyway, here's Day 5's look, just a little later than planned!

OVERVIEW
By now, I’m sure you’ve noticed that my style is pretty simple. It’s no-fuss, easy and mostly classic. This outfit might look a little basic but that’s what I love about it. Stripes, high rise black denim and well-loved leather ankle boots make for a simple yet super stylish combination.
WEATHER
I expected the weather to cooperate better than it did. The forecast said it’d be cloudy but not too chilly. It was wrong. It was chilly and windy and it rained. I ended up wearing my field jacket instead of the faux leather one mostly to stay warm (but also because I was so over the jacket).
WHAT I DID
I spent the morning working from home before meeting up with my pal Jillian at a coffee shop. We did a super quick blog headshot session (I’m so.excited.about it). AND she shoots film which is beyond cool. I can’t wait to see how it turned out.
The wifi at The Mill was less than stellar that morning so I walked a few blocks over to Temple where I continued to work on freelance projects.
STYLING DETAILS
Day 4 was all about layering a sweater over a dress and Day 5 was about turning a dress into a top. I’d never tried this before and I was surprised at how much I liked it! I did a little bit of strategic tucking and voila! I gave myself yet another way to rock this thrift store score.
Like I was saying earlier, I think this look delivers a lot of style because of its simplicity. It’s classic without being too preppy. Oh and it’s comfortable. I can’t believe I forgot to mention that.
That’s all for Day 4! I’m taking the weekend off to find time to celebrate Easter. See you back here Monday for Day 6!
